Jeollabuk-do pushed ahead a fam tour at Korea Traditional Culture Center, National Intangible Heritage Center, and Hanok Village in Jeonju for 3 days from May 30 to June 1 in order to help a famous Turkish TV shoot a scene of Korea expected to be telecast at a tour program 'Traveling Around World'.     The telecast, supported for production by Istanbul branch of Korea Tourism Organization, was progressed to increase the demand of tourism to Korea from higher -income group living in Turkey. Jeollabuk-do Tourism Publicity Hall Carries out Performances of Bibimbap and Pansori   The 8th Royal Princess Cup Taekwondo Championship took place at Pataya City Gymnasium in Thailand on May 5th. Jeollabuk-do publicized tourism of the province for the event period.   This Royal Princess Cup Taekwondo Championship held in 2018 is an event for 60th Anniversary of Thailand-Republic of Korea Diplomatic Relations held at Pataya City Gymnasium in Thailand, where the players and spectators participated, about 2,000 persons from about 20 countries. Regularly Operating Seoul-Jeonbuk Lines for Enlarging Foreign Tourists     Jeollabuk-do has operated regular tourist buses between Seoul and Jeonbuk Province exclusively for foreigners only since last March. As Seoul-Jeonbuk foreigner-exclusive regular tourist buses are being operated from Exit No. 2 at Myeong-dong Station in Seoul to major famous tourist sites within our province including Jeonju Hanok Village on Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week, these operations are attracting foreigners visiting Seoul into Jeollabuk-do.   In order to overcome difficulties in attracting foreign tourists due to the lack of international airports, Jeollabuk-do introduced foreigner-exclusive regular tour buses(hereinafter foreigner shuttle buses). Jeollabuk-do pushes ahead the authentication and promotion of UNESCO Global Geoparks concerning the geoattractions in the province.   So, Jeollabuk-do plans to activate ecotourism and continuous provincial development by systematic management of three geoattractions, such as the Western Coast Area, Jinan & Muju Area, and Gogunsan Islands in the province,   Jeollabuk-do, first of all, has to get the authentication of National Geoparks in order to get the authentication of UNESCO Global Geoparks. The standards of application are the place and landscape, important in international, geographical viewpoints, as well as geographical inheritance and district utilization.   In september last year, Jeollabuk-do acquired the authentication of National Geoparks for the Western Coast Area.
